Sony PlayStation 5 Pro (CFI-3008)

The enhanced Pro version of the Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console offers significant improvements over the standard PS5 and PS5 Slim. The console is equipped with an upgraded AMD graphics processor with a power of 16.7 TFLOPS, which includes 67% more compute units compared to the PlayStation 5 and faster DDR5 memory with a capacity of 16 GB. The central processor is an 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 chip with support for 16-thread data processing.

These improvements provide high performance in recent AAA games, which the regular PS5 often struggles with. An additional advantage for boosting performance is the new PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution scaling technology (similar to DLSS and FST), which uses a frame interpolation system and a built-in upscaler with generation capabilities that work in tandem to increase the average frame rate without increasing the load on the processor.

The available SSD storage capacity has doubled and now reaches 2 TB, providing ample space for storing a fairly large game library. In terms of connectivity, the console offers extensive options: LAN, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth, HDMI, one USB C, and two USB 3.2 (one gen1 and two gen2). The console comes with one next-generation DualSense controller, whose key features include adaptive triggers and an updated haptic feedback system.
