Like its predecessor, Super Slim is built on an 8-core 3.2 GHz processor and has 256 MB of RAM, but the hard drive is available in 2 versions — 12 and 500 GB. Of the supported media — optical discs up to Blu-ray. The console has 2 USB ports and a traditional set of communications — LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Dualshock 3 controller included.

Quite an interesting variation on the theme of the original PlayStation 3. On the one hand, the new console has lost a memory card slot and half of the USB ports (Slim has 2 of them). On the other hand, the volume of the built-in storage has increased to 120 GB (in the minimum configuration), and power consumption has decreased by 30% with the same hardware basis: 8-core processor with 3.2 GB, 256 MB of RAM and a Blu-ray drive. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, integration with the PlayStation Network and even the installation of additional software from the PlayStation Store.
