3G module

— a mobile communication module that allows the tablet to work in 3rd generation networks – 3G (UMTS). The data transfer rate in such networks can reach 70 Mbps, and even a relatively slow 3G connection allows not only browsing the web, but also watching online video and organizing video calls.

Nowadays, more advanced 4th generation networks dominate and 5th generation networks are being massively introduced; so 3G support can be provided in addition to the 4G / 5G module – as a backup option in case of lack of coverage. Also note that all such tablets are capable of working in 2G GSM networks, however, not every such device supports voice calls – for this you should choose models with a telephone module (see the relevant paragraph).
