— the video output allows you to broadcast the image "seen" by the device to an external device. Thanks to this, you can not only view the "picture" on the big screen, but also transmit it further — for example, as a streaming broadcast over the Internet — and even record video, which is especially important for models without a video recorder (see the relevant paragraph). And if the latter is available, the video output, usually, provides the ability to play the footage.
