RAM Apacer series Panther
Apacer Panther
The Panther series from the Taiwanese manufacturer Apacer includes relatively simple DIMM-format RAM modules with a modest price tag and the most popular combinations of operating frequencies and timings. The Panther modules stand out from the competition due to the use of a nice double-sided heatsink with gold-plated scallops and a panther logo. It looks quite nice, and the classic profile radiator does not interfere with the installation of other components. This is despite the fact that in most budget RAM modules, instead of a heatsink, at best they use a thin layer of foil.
Otherwise, a typical Panther module is not much different from most popular RAM modules. It is a standard DDR4/DDR5 class bar with a clock frequency of 3200 MHz, CL16 latency and operating voltage in the range from 1.2 to 1.35 V. Since the series is positioned as an overclocker, all Panther modules support Intel XMP technology with pre-built sets of settings for optimal performance and overclocking.
The model range of the Panther series is represented mainly by popular options such as single strips with a capacity of up to 32 GB, as well as sets consisting of paired modules with a total capacity of up to 64 GB. At the bottom level of the hierarchy are entry-level 8 GB sticks with a base frequency of 2666 MHz and a timing scheme of 16-16-16-36 or 16-20-20-38. Following them are modules with a capacity of 16 GB, which by today's standards are most often installed in gaming PCs and mid-level workstations, where the total amount of RAM is more important than its clock speed. Most often in the series there are modules with a frequency of 3200 MHz.
