DDR3L
— modification of DDR3 memory (see the relevant paragraph), which supports operation at a reduced voltage — 1.35 V instead of 1.5 V (Low Voltage — hence the index L). Due to the reduced voltage, it was possible to achieve some increase in productivity (because changing the state of the cells from 0 to 1 corresponds to a smaller number of volts and takes less time). It should be noted that DDR3L modules are backwards compatible with conventional DDR3 slots and can also operate at a standard voltage of 1.5 V.
