— MDF — Medium Density Fibreboard — is considered a "classic" for speakers: this material has excellent acoustic properties and a pleasant appearance, and at the same time it costs relatively little (in particular, it is much cheaper than natural wood). At the same time, MDF is still more expensive than plastic and is not well suited for custom-shaped cases. Therefore, this option is typical mainly for fairly advanced speakers of the middle and top classes.
