Edifier S2000MKIII

High-end class 2.0 bookshelf speakers with combo connection, stylish design and unusual planar/ribbon tweeters. The kit belongs to the upper price category and is a representative of the elite 2021 Edifier S series. It is aimed at people who are looking for a convenient alternative to active and passive Hi-Fi acoustics with a modern set of connections. In particular, Edifier S2000MKIII can be connected to a PC using a tulip-tulip-minijack cable, use digital inputs for a TV, or a Bluetooth connection for a smartphone or tablet.

Each speaker is equipped with its own D-class digital amplifier based on TAS5754 chips with built-in DSP processing. The total power of the system reaches 130 watts (65 watts per channel), so if desired, the speakers can rock a small dance floor. At the heart of each speaker is an aluminium woofer with an enlarged corrugation and a ribbon tweeter from the French company Fostex.

This is the company's first audio system with such a solution, usually ribbon tweeters are installed either in home hi-fi acoustics or in professional monitoring systems. The drivers are housed in an 18mm thick premium MDF cabinet that minimizes spurious overtones and resonances. The high sound quality of Edifier S2000MKIII is confirmed by the certificate of the analytical center KLIPPEL.

Controls for volume, equalizer and connections are located on the back of the active speaker. As an alternative, a stylish remote control made in the form of a washer is provided. To connect a sound source, there are 4 analog RCA - RCA connectors, as well as optical and coaxial inputs with high-quality converters from Burr-Brown. For wireless connection, a Bluetooth 5.0 receiver with support for the aptX HD codec is installed.
