— a mount that is installed on a hard, flat surface with a suction cup. The role of such a surface can be played by the body or glass of a car, the side of a boat, a helmet, a surfboard, etc.; accordingly, mounts of this type are very versatile and can serve as a replacement for some specialized varieties. At the same time, suction cups, usually, are made sufficiently tenacious for use even at high speeds (200 km/h and even more). However, the specific characteristics in each case should be clarified separately.

The advantage of suction cups over another similar variety — adhesive platforms — is the ability to be used more than once: the suction cup comes off without any problems and does not lose its properties even after repeated sticking/peeling off. On the other hand, this variety is considered somewhat less reliable than adhesive platforms (although this moment becomes noticeable mainly in the most extreme situations).
