CD players with XLR output

— initially, XLR is a type of connector that can be used in different types of outputs. However, in this case, this term means an output for transmitting sound in analogue format to an external amplifier. Similar to RCA (see the relevant paragraph), one XLR output consists of two connectors — for the right and left audio channels. The key difference between this interface and RCA is not so much the type of connector (three-pin with a latch), but the use of a balanced connection, which is characterized by high noise immunity even with a long cable length. Therefore, XLR is considered more advanced, its presence, usually, indicates a rather high (by the standards of analogues) device class.Note that CD players do not have more than one such output, unlike RCA.
