Elegant minimalism
Zalman K1 is a strictly external and functional computer case designed for full-size ATX motherboards or more compact formats. The only decorative element is the unobtrusive RGB-framing of the front panel. Fans of complete asceticism, if they wish, will be able to turn it off completely, using the button placed on the top panel. Moreover, the button is a separate one, and not paired with the PC restart function, like most competitors.
Steel, glass and dust filters
The frame of the Zalman K1 is steel, the front panel is plastic, and the side viewing window is made of 4 mm tempered glass with light tinting. At the bottom and top are dust filters on magnets. The power supply with its numerous protruding wires will be covered with a metal casing. And on the top interface panel there was a place for as many as four USB ports: two black version 2.0 and two more blue 3.0.
Air and water
By default, Zalman K1 has only one exhaust fan — 12 cm with the same RGB frame as the front panel. The increased depth of the case allows you to install even 14 cm turntables or a liquid cooling system (two-section on top or three-section on the front). But if you are a supporter of tower CPU coolers, then a model up to 18 cm high will fit, which is even more than the reference 16 cm.
Infinity and Beyond
The maximum allowable length of a graphics card (both installed in the first and subsequent PCI-E slots) is as much as 38 cm, which is also a large margin. Seats for 3.5 and 2.5-inch drives are available in two pieces. As a result, Zalman K1 is a smart computer case, which lacks only a couple of additional complete fans to the perfect. And if you want to buy a case for a low price, immediately packed with turntables to the fullest, take a closer look at Zalman N3. However in many other aspects it loses to the K1 models.
