Camera:4 modules, 64 MP, + 8 MP, macro, 4K, slow-mo
Battery:5020 mAh
The main differences between Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9 Pro are in the front camera (16 MP vs. 32 MP in the Max version), the presence of NFC (not in the Max version) and support for fast charging 30 W instead of 33 W (in Max).

One of the most delicious offers in the middle price category of mobile devices. And that's why. Firstly, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 720G gaming chipset, and it has 6/64 GB of memory on board (with the possibility of expanding the capacity of a regular drive without giving up the services of a second SIM card). Secondly, the model got a huge 6.67-inch diagonal screen with a “star in the forehead” in the form of a hole for a 16 MP selfie camera lens.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 64GB display displays an image at a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. Another plus comes to the model’s karma for an interesting set of cameras from the rear – for photo and video shooting, a 64 MP image sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide lens, 5 MP macro camera and 2 MP special sensor for spectacular background blur are offered. We add to the above an NFC, an infrared port, an accelerated battery charging of 5020 mAh (up to 30 W) — as a result, we have an optimally balanced smartphone for its money, which is destined to win an army of loyal fans.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 64 GB / 6 GB is a smartphone that impresses with its powerful Snapdragon 720G processor, ensuring smooth performance and gaming capabilities without overheating. It features a long-lasting 5020 mAh battery that can last up to 1.5 to 2 days, complemented by 30W fast charging for quick power-ups. Users appreciate the large display, which is ideal for those who prefer bigger screens, and the inclusion of an NFC module for convenient contactless payments. The phone's design is stylish, with a glass back and Gorilla Glass v5, and it offers enhanced haptic feedback for a tactile experience. The main camera, with a 64 MP sensor, delivers good photo quality, although it lacks a telephoto lens and stabilization in 4K video. Some software bugs and the protruding camera are noted drawbacks, but overall, the Redmi Note 9 Pro offers a compelling package of features and performance for its users.

Good phone, with some issues, but not critical
23 December 2024
I really like this phone. It's not perfect, but it meets all my wants. I've been using it for 4 years now, and of course, during this time, it's become a bit outdated. However, it's still a good phone with a cool camera and a wonderful display. When I saw it in the brand's signature blue-green color, I immediately knew I wanted this phone. Plus, the price was quite reasonable for such hardware, battery, camera, and monitor.

The large battery allows this beast to last one and a half to two days on a single charge with moderate use. Naturally, if you don't put it down, you can drain it in a day, but with fast charging, you can fully charge it in about 30 minutes.

The camera takes good pictures, but not perfectly, and the quality noticeably decreases as it gets darker (though not many phones can take quality night photos, only a few, and they're 5-10 times more expensive than this Redmi).

The screen is really great, vibrant colors, excellent touch response, and impressive pixel density per inch.

I liked the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone on the button. Previously, I had a phone where the sensor was on the back, which was okay, but the design somehow suffered because of it.

It's good that there's NFC, as it's really relevant now and truly convenient. The phone has an excellent processor, the MIUI interface flies, nothing freezes, and it works quickly with apps too. I've had some minor lags in multitasking, like when YouTube was running in the background and I was browsing in Chrome, but those were isolated instances.
Great design.
Decent camera.
Mega cool screen
Powerful processor
Large battery
Fast charging
Case included with the phone
NFC
Good vibration
Would love a wireless charger
Sometimes it does lag a bit
MIUI is actually an average interface with a bunch of ads inside.

rocket. Stolen in Sri Lanka. Bought the same one, and I don't regret it for a minute.
Handles everything... really.
Battery lasts forever.
LED instead of always-on display.
Memory card. If the phone glitches, God forbid, everything saved will stay there.
Memory cleaning via file manager. Get in, clean everything out - RAM works like new.
6.7-inch display, awesome quality.
IPS doesn't strain the eyes.
Even good to buy on 12 MIUI-MI. Reliable OS.
Updates aren't really necessary.
14 limits features, but that's a matter of preference.
If I were to change, it would be to the 10 Pro, but damn, no LED there.
Oh yeah... Almost forgot... NFC... fantastic.
I don't even remember what cash is.
Got the same one for my daughter... she's thrilled, everything's great.
Display is a bit weak in sunlight

A very dubious purchase. I won't buy anything from xiaomi again.

I'm updating my review: this model is suitable purely for reflashing. At first, it worked fine, but after the first update in the summer, everything started to go downhill. Currently, only the gallery and settings menu from the original interface work properly. I even had to download that cringy notification shade replacement from the Play Store because after another system update, the original one stopped working. There are also frequent FPS drops, whether in the system, messengers, videos, or games. I also can't ignore the terrible handling of RAM and how it's constantly clogged by the system.

It's better to get a Redmi Note 9S and flash a clean Android on it. Then it will work fine. It's better not to go for the Pro version because NFC will stop working after flashing anyway.
Everything related to assembly. A good processor for its price, complete absence of throttling and strong heating (although this is the merit of Qualcomm engineers, not Xiaomi), design, well copied from Huawei, good battery, speaker sound at the "not bad" level, body materials, etc. Everything related to assembly is perfect. There is also fast charging, but I would prefer its absence because the battery degrades from it. Had to buy another cable.
Everything related to the software part. MiYuai is a beautiful shell, but terribly laggy. Updates are just terrible. I do not recommend anyone to take anything that works on this shell. Of the really good alternatives to this smartphone are Realmy 6 pro, Realme 8 and Motorola moto g60. All of them cost about the same money, and they are all better than this model. I am familiar with the firmware of all these devices - they work well.
