Xiaomi Mi 11 128 GB
![]() |
The base model of the flagship family in 2021, Mi 11 combines an attractive design and the best developments of the manufacturer. The case is curved on all sides to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, and is made from durable Gorilla Glass Victus, which is 200% more scratch-resistant and stronger when dropped from heights. You can’t exactly call a compact smartphone, as it is equipped with a 6.81-inch display and has dimensions of 164.3x74.6x8.1 mm.
By the way, the screen is one of the main features of the model. It's an AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 480Hz sample rate, HDR10+ support, and WQHD+ ultra-high resolution (3200x1440 pixels). Top notch Xiaomi Mi 11: Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support, and a 4600mAh battery with fast 55W, 50W wireless and reverse charging power 10 W.
Of course, they didn’t forget about NFC, a slot for two SIM cards and an infrared sensor, while adding stereo speakers with sound from Harman Kardon and an under-screen fingerprint scanner that can also measure heart rate. But there is neither a slot for a memory card, nor a 3.5 mm headphone jack — as, in fact, in most modern top models. Finally, for dessert — the main camera with three modules, the main of which is a 108-megapixel sensor with optical stabilization. It is complemented by a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view and a 5MP telemacro camera. This camera offers various cinematic filters, a night mode for capturing photos and videos in pitch darkness, and HDR10+ video recording.

Screen is amazing, just like the processor, played all games on maximum settings with no lag. The stereo sound is very good (compared with iPhone 12), the charging is very fast, charged 50% in 20 minutes. The camera is also worthy of attention, optical stabilization works as it should, and it takes really good photos in the dark for a phone!! 1) The battery for such a display and hardware is a bit small, but fast charging partially compensates. 2) The price is somewhat inflated. |
Excellent screen, good performance, fast charging, excellent sound through speakers, great vibration feedback, decent main camera. Mediocre battery life, unstable firmware, decent wide-angle camera. |
Good, but sometimes it freezes a lot Well, the camera works very well, it’s great, it’s simple Well it always freezes |
Elegance itself
Xiaomi has long been not associated with cheap Chinese goods that look like a low-quality fake of A-brand gadgets. Now it is one of the leading manufacturers with smartphones of the corresponding level. The base model of the flagship family of 2021, Mi 11, is on par with competitors (although still cheaper than the iPhone) and shows a premium look with all its appearance. Classically for this segment, the case is made of glass, and the frame is made of aluminium. It uses Gorilla Glass Victus, the strongest glass in the range today. It is claimed to increase drop protection by 150% and is also 200% more scratch resistant than its predecessors. The dimensions of the device are far from the most minimal — 164.3 mm in height, 8.1 mm in thickness and weighs 196 g. But due to the display rounded on all four sides and the side edges, which seem to flow into a thin frame, the device looks elegant and neat. It is convenient and, most importantly, it is pleasant to hold it in your hand, although the protruding camera unit spoils the impression a little. One module is torn out, so even the silicone case from the kit cannot hide it. There is also no protection against water and dust IP68 – it remained with the older version of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
Perfect Display
The manufacturer calls the flagship display almost perfect, and it really is. No wonder it received the highest A + rating from the famous DisplayMate agency, at the same time setting 13 new records. It's a large 6.81-inch AMOLED panel with WQHD+ (3200x1440 pixels) ultra-high resolution, excellent viewing angles, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 1500 nits. It's also ultra-smooth with up to 120Hz refresh rates with AdaptiveSync auto-tuning technology, and responds instantly to taps with a 480Hz sample rate. By the way, today this is the highest response speed among Xiaomi devices and one of the highest rates on the market. In general, a pleasant experience when watching movies, videos and games is provided. And the display has a built-in sensor that not only recognizes the fingerprint, but also knows how to measure the pulse. It is unlikely that someone will use this all the time, but, in general, a very interesting feature.
cinematic camera
Another pride of Xiaomi Mi 11 is the camera. The Chinese company has always been greedy for numerous megapixels, and this case is no exception. The rear camera received an original, albeit controversial design and three modules. At the steering wheel is a 108-megapixel sensor in the company of a 13 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro module. There is optical stabilization, but, unfortunately, only older versions have a telephoto lens. No wonder the manufacturer called the camera cinematic: in addition to the high quality of photography, it offers interesting filters and modes for shooting video, and the night mode allows you to record videos in almost complete darkness. All in all, a great option for bloggers, party goers, and active Instagram users. In addition, thanks to the 20-megapixel front camera, good selfies are also obtained.
Everything you need
As for the “hardware”, it corresponds to the high rank of the flagship here: the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 5G support, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, Wi-Fi 6, NFC and a 4600 mAh battery. Of the amenities — an infrared port for controlling other equipment instead of a remote control, stereo speakers with sound from Harman Kardon, fast charging with a power of 55 W (100% in 45 minutes), 50-watt wireless charging (100% in 53 minutes) and wireless reverse charging on 10 W. By the way, for users in the global market, Xiaomi did not become greedy and left a charger with a power of 55 W in the kit.

Let's start with the screen. Excellent color reproduction, good touch sensitivity, bright (can be used comfortably in sunny weather).
Performance. Overall, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is a controversial choice. In terms of performance, there are no issues (WoT Blitz, PUBG Mobile, Tacticool run at max settings at 60 FPS), but it gets very hot. For gaming, I use the Black Shark FunCooler Pro to somehow cool the phone down.
Camera. I don't take a lot of photos, so the photo quality is quite satisfying for me. The wide-angle isn't great (lacks detail).
Sound. This smartphone sounds just great, but sometimes the volume is lacking. Overall, it can be used as a speaker.
Vibration feedback. The vibration is also at a good level here, every action is accompanied by pleasant vibration.
Battery life. Most likely, this will be fixed with updates, but right now the battery life is, to put it mildly, not very good. About 3-4 hours of screen time. I charge it 2-3 times a day. But charging is fast, so you can fully charge it in 30-40 minutes.
Software. Yes, MIUI 12.5 is, to put it mildly, laggy. App crashes, unexplained system freezes, and so on. MIUI 13 is supposed to be released in August, we'll see how it turns out.
