Affordable and simple in-ear headphones with a microphone from a well-known Japanese brand. Available in five colour options - in addition to the standard black and white, there are red, gold and blue options. The manufacturer is positioned as a low-cost product designed for use with various mobile gadgets: smartphones, tablets, multimedia players and compact game consoles. The design of the Sony MDR-EX155AP headphones is relatively simple and certainly practical.

The case is plastic with silicone nozzles, which provides an ultra-light weight of the device (only 3 g). The elastic cable has a round section with a special profile that prevents entanglement. To connect to a sound source, an L-shaped plug with a 4-pin mini-Jack 3.5 mm connector is used. Headphones are equipped with four pairs of silicone ear tips (SS, S, M, L), which allows the user to achieve a strong hold, regardless of the anatomical features of the ear structure.

Another feature of this mount is high-quality passive sound insulation. This model is equipped with dynamic acoustic radiators with a membrane diameter of 9mm. Thanks to neodymium magnets, they are able to give a decent maximum volume, and due to the low internal resistance, it is easy to achieve this volume on any sound source. According to the manufacturer, the frequency range from 5 to 24000 Hz is reproduced, which makes it possible to play high-quality audio materials of various musical genres.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Sony MDR-EX155AP headphones offer a low price and good design, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. Users have mixed opinions on the sound quality; some find it decent for the price, while others praise the well-balanced lows, mids, and highs, especially for genres like metal and pop. The headphones are noted for their durability and effective microphone, making them suitable for calls. However, some users report issues with the flimsy wires and short cable length. Noise cancellation is not a strong point, as external sounds can be heard, which may be a downside for some. Despite minor wear over time, the headphones are generally recommended for those seeking good sound quality at a low price.

Used it for a little over two years. The sound is quite decent for that kind of money. The microphone works great, perfect for calls. The button doesn't get stuck.
Sound, durability, microphone, price
after a year and a half, the pads at the base of the headphones came off, but it’s not a big deal, it didn’t affect the work in any way

Highly recommend if you are looking for really good sound quality at a low price.

The sound is worth a thousand bucks, the lows, mids and highs are very well balanced. I like to listen to death metal, black metal and so on. With these headphones I hear every thin ringing of cymbals, the pleasant sound of guitars and most importantly the bass guitar, which is usually lost in the mix. Pop music also sounds good. At full volume there is no sand in the ears and the bass is not lost, as it happens with competitors even at twice the price. More than a year has passed since the purchase and I listen to music in headphones every day for at least two hours and they have never let me down. When you listen even at full volume, those around you do not hear it. They sit tightly and softly. The surrounding world is not heard at all, unless you are driving on the highway.
After 7 months the coating on the case became slightly worn.

normal model, nothing special

first of all, I want to praise the MTS store where these headphones were purchased. Despite having almost the lowest price, the order was ready for pickup just half a day after placing it. And now to the headphones themselves. They were purchased in late autumn as a replacement for AirPods Rev. 1 because they quickly lost battery in the cold. After a brief search, I decided to take this model for its attractive price and some brand name, and I can't say I regretted it, but comparing them to AirPods was daunting. 1. Sound: Well, for this price, it's probably not that bad, but initially, it seemed just horrible; after half an hour of listening, the metaphorical "bleeding from the ears" stopped, and it was even possible to listen to music in decent quality. As for noise cancellation, there's a big problem here: when walking down the street, the wind interrupts the music, making listening extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable, and you can hear almost everything within a 5-meter radius (which may be a plus for some, but definitely a downside for me). 2. Cable: The material of the cable and the earbuds themselves was obviously skimped on; I've been using them for a week, and everything seems fine, but I doubt they'll last a year. The length of the cable was also disappointing (it could have been made longer). 3. Functionality: According to tests, there's some sort of surround sound and a button with 3 functions on the right cable, but of course, there's no comparison to AirPods. Conclusion: I do not recommend purchasing; I think you can find better for this price, and I'm disappointed with the purchase.
low price, good design and that's where the + ends.
so-so sound, strange shape that may not suit everyone and flimsy wires.
