The second-generation Sony Inzone H9 wireless headset is a premium solution developed with the participation of Fnatic esports players. The model features a revamped design and a completely reworked acoustic system: it now uses 30mm drivers similar to those found in the flagship WH-1000XM6 headphones. As a result, the sound has become more balanced, with rich bass and clear details. By default, the profile is optimized for first-person shooters (FPS), but it’s easy to adapt it for music or other genres using the equalizer.
Key sound features of the Sony Inzone H9 II include the active noise cancellation system and the transparency mode, which allows you to hear your surroundings without removing the headset. Proprietary surround sound technologies are also supported, including Virtual 7.1 Surround for PC, and separate volume control for gaming and voice channels.
Three Connection Options
Although the headset was primarily created for PlayStation 5, it’s versatile and suitable for PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. Three connectivity options — wired, radio channel, and Bluetooth 5.3 — provide flexibility in any scenario. A detachable 2-meter cable and a USB-C port are provided for a wired connection, and the built-in battery provides up to 30 hours of operation without ANC, while a quick five-minute charge adds about an hour of autonomy.
Lightweight and Thoroughly Thought Out
Weighing only 260 grams, the Sony Inzone H9 II is considered one of the lightest in its class. The headband with automatic adjustment ensures an excellent fit, making the headset comfortable even during extended use. A branded case is provided for storage. The boom microphone effectively suppresses noise, ensuring clear speech transmission. It can be muted with a separate button, but the design does not allow for removal.
The main downside of the model is the high price, especially compared to the first generation. However, with a gradual decrease in cost, the Sony Inzone H9 II will become a more rational choice. Even now, it’s a great solution for brand enthusiasts and demanding gamers who value quality, comfort, and professional-level sound.
