The world famous Japanese manufacturer Sony knows a lot about many things, including the production of headphones. At the end of 2015, the company introduced a new line of wired headphones "h.ear in", among which there is a model MDR-EX750AP, worthy of paying attention to it.
Sleek design and solid construction
The headphone housing is made of aluminium, but remains surprisingly light: without wires, the speakers weigh only 5 grams, and are almost imperceptible in the ears. In addition, the metal housing dampens unwanted vibrations for a more comfortable listening experience. A sturdy, grooved cable is completed by a gold-plated L-shaped plug. The cable itself does not get tangled, but at low temperatures it becomes “tanned”, loses its flexibility and can easily break. So, in winter you need to be careful.
The manufacturer has provided five different colours of the headset to express a greater individuality of the consumer, which allows you to choose the colour to your liking. The set comes with a small magnetic case and four pairs of interchangeable silicone tips.
Sound-enhancing design
Among the design decisions that affect the sound, the model uses separate ground contacts for each of the channels. Thus, the total number of audio wires made of special oxygen-free copper reaches 4 instead of the usual 3, which avoids interference between channels. The second sonic improvement is the thoughtful shape of the cabinets, with specially designed acoustic openings that have a positive effect on bass reproduction.
Sound evaluation
The reproducible frequencies claimed by the manufacturer go far beyond the sensitivity of human hearing (5 – 40,000 Hz), but it is quite possible to evaluate the overall sound. Some excess of high frequencies is noted, which has to be corrected by the equalizer settings on the sound reproducing device. Lows sound voluminous and articulated, which cannot be said about mediums, in their range the appearance of an echo and illegibility is periodically noted. We are not talking about “porridge”, but there is enough “soap”.
