Model overview based on user reviews
The Patriot Memory P210 SSD is a budget-friendly option with good initial read and write speeds, making it suitable for enhancing laptop performance, especially when replacing older HDDs. Users appreciate its affordable price and the boost in system efficiency it provides. However, the SSD lacks a temperature sensor, and some users have reported a drop in speed when the disk is filled beyond 70%. While the advertised speeds are generally met, there are instances where the actual read speed is slightly lower than claimed. The drive's TBW (Total Bytes Written) is relatively low, which might affect its longevity under heavy use. Some users have experienced reliability issues, with one reporting a complete failure after a year. Overall, the Patriot P210 is a decent choice for those on a tight budget, but potential buyers should be aware of its limitations and consider spending more for a more reliable SSD if long-term durability is a priority.

normal model, nothing special
12 August 2020
Bought for a laptop, for Windows, to replace the worn-out hard drive. After installing Windows, the disk space actually shows 238 GB, so I started to Google - why? It turned out that the rest is reserved space, and that's normal for all SSDs. Downloaded and installed DiskMark, and here it's strange! It shows 470 for reading and 420 for writing, meaning the reading is below the claimed 500, but writing is above. I also wanted to check the temperature but found out there's no temperature sensor in it, most likely cut out to reduce cost. Another issue with many SSDs, and this one is no exception - after the disk filled up to 70%, the read and write speed dropped to around 200 on average.
Price, got it with a discount at Telemart, received a 3-year warranty. High speed.
There is no temperature sensor.

A simple but reliable SSD.

The SSD has been in use for over 3 years and during this time it has proven to be a stable and reliable drive. It operates without failures, and the speeds are more than enough for everyday tasks. I mainly use it for gaming and storing various files, open-world games start quickly without long loading times. I am completely satisfied and can recommend it for purchase.
Works steadily for over 3 years, appropriate speeds for SATA SSD, well-suited for file storage, reliable operation without failures, good value for money, quick game startup.

Easy start

The Patriot P210 is one of the most affordable classic 2.5-inch SSDs available. It belongs to the category of so-called Full Size drives, in which the volume of 1 terabyte is exactly 1024 GB, and not 960, such as the Patriot Burst Elite. The thickness is 7 mm, making the drive suitable not only for desktop PCs, but also for laptops.

More than promised

The manufacturer claims sequential read and write speeds of up to 520 and 430 Mbps, respectively. But in the case of the 1 and 2 TB versions of the Patriot P210, the real figures are even higher — up to 560 MB / s, which is the maximum bandwidth of the SATA 3 interface. Random reading and writing of small 4K blocks is claimed up to 50K IOPS (input-output operations per second). But in reality, these numbers are also higher — up to 75K.

Progressive Approach

This is achieved thanks to, as written in the official specifications, a “modern SATA 3 controller”, the role of which is most often performed by Silicon Motion SM2259XT (depending on the batch, the controller and flash memory chips may vary). The XT suffix means the presence of a small integrated cache, which allows you to do without a separate RAM chip and, thereby, minimize the cost. The rewrite resource for a 1 TB model is at least 480 TB.
