Sufficiently powerful mid-range gaming graphics card, introduced to the market in 2021. This variation of the Radeon RX 6600 from MSI entered the market in early 2022 as part of the Armor gaming series, where the focus is not on lighting or shroud design, but on overclocking and reliability. Like all representatives of the Armor series, it is designed to live through several production cycles and retire to a ripe old age like Clint Eastwood.
In particular, its base is protected by a metal frame, auxiliary fuses are sewn into the printed circuit board to protect against overload and power surges, and durable sealed copper is used in the manufacture of the printed circuit board. The imposing heatsink is cooled by two Torx 2.0 axial fans based on wear-resistant double ball bearings. When there is no load, MSI Zero Frozr technology switches the cooling of the video core to a silent passive mode.
MSI Radeon RX 6600 ARMOR 8G is based on AMD Navi 23 (7nm, RDNA 2 architecture) GPU with 32 compute units, clocked at 2491MHz and AMD Infinity Cache. For efficient data exchange, 8 GB of video memory and a classic 128-bit bus are provided. It is able to provide comfortable gaming in all popular AAA titles of 2019-2022 at maximum graphics settings in FullHD resolution or at medium-high in Quad HD. Additionally, support is provided for Nvidia's hardware ray tracing analogue RT, as well as AMD FSR scaling technology, which is a free and open analogue of Nvidia's DLSS technology.
