Small-sized entry-level discrete graphics card with low power consumption, silent cooling and full support for high-definition/ultra-high resolution monitors (can operate at up to 2160p/60Hz). The manufacturer is positioned as a model of the base price category, focused on the use in multi-purpose household and office PCs with processors that do not have their own integrated video core. Due to its low profile design and shortened PCB length (150mm), MSI GT 1030 2GHD4 LP OC graphics card can be used as part of compact HTPC-class multimedia systems assembled in small-sized mini-ITX cases. An Nvidia Pascal GP108 graphics processor paired with GDDR4 (2 GB, 64-bit bus) graphics memory is capable of providing entry-level gaming performance. It can guarantee an acceptable frame rate in most popul...ar game projects of 2014-2019 at resolutions up to 1920x1080 and low-medium/medium graphics quality settings. It consumes only 20 W of energy, does not require additional PCIe power lines, and is able to work stably with low-cost PSUs of modest power. The GP108 GPU supports hardware accelerated decoding of high/ultra-high definition multimedia content.

Not for gaming. Ideal for adding monitors and increasing screen resolution.

The transverse directions of the radiator fins aren't listed as a drawback because I don't consider myself competent enough. It seems to me that fins along the slot will be open for airflow to the rear panel. This way, cooling will be better. At least, the processor cooling works like this.

If there's a gamer here – this card isn't for you. For you, it's just a video placeholder. I don't need 3D objects, the card isn't for gaming.

My requirements and tasks for the card:
To have the ability to add a monitor, a large monitor. Large resolution is a plus.
Not to create unnecessary noise.
To generate less heat. There is an identical card with GDDR5 memory. I chose this one because it consumes less power (so probably generates less heat) and because it's cheaper.
To offload the RAM and computer processor for main tasks.
As for how mediocre the 3D graphics are – I can't tell at all! I learned how to set up weak cards and gained performance for 2D.
It turned out to be an excellent replacement for the old card from 10 years ago.
You can connect 2 monitors. New, non-obsolete connectors. You can use high resolution. No fan - does not make noise! Price.
Everywhere it says x16. I got concerned about why mine is x4. I checked it through tests, inspected and cleaned the connectors. Only then, and only on the website, did I see x16 (uses 4). Meaning there are contacts for 16 channels, but only 4 are used. I didn't see this detail on the box. Only saw it on the website.

In the description, including on the official website, it says it uses 1 expansion slot. In reality, the large heatsink occupies the height of 2 slots. For my purpose, this is not a drawback, but it is a shortcoming in the card description.

To create the MSI label, a visor was made on the heatsink clearly not for heat dissipation. It's only for a nice label. There's nothing preventing this label from being placed on the side. Or the fins could be painted in a certain way. Under the visor, the heatsink fins are smaller.
