However, after 7-8 months, a bug appeared (even before the drops), where the screen flickered like crazy. I'd lock it, unlock it, and it’d be normal again. This happened sporadically, from 5 times a day to once a month. No service center was willing to take it for repair, or they quoted such high prices that it made more sense to add some money and buy a new phone.
Also, around that time, small dots appeared on the screen. They're not visible when looking directly at the phone. Only visible on a white screen and at a certain angle. I contacted ALLO, where I bought it. They said they would take the phone and send it for an assessment first, and then possibly repair it, which could take about six months. Meanwhile, they'd give me a Xiaomi 4X to use. I decided not to send it anywhere. But I regretted the extra money spent on the extended warranty. So, DON'T PAY EXTRA FOR EXTRA WARRANTIES – IT'S A SCAM. It will be as always – nobody owes you anything.
