How to Choose a Gaming MonitorWe understand matrix types, suitable resolution, FreeSync and other important aspects when choosing a gaming monitor
Excellent monitor
18 September 2021
Excellent monitor for PS5. 4K 120 Hz is mind-blowing. Excellent color reproduction, suitable for semi-professional photo and video work. It’s better to turn off HDR; there is some minor backlight bleed, but only top-end OLEDs don’t have it, and I haven’t seen any OLED monitors with HDMI 2.1 yet, though they will cost a fortune. It’s convenient to switch between well-configured presets using the joystick; at night, for example, I use reading mode if I need to work or browse the internet.

Ambilight backlight mode, but as I understand it, it only works with a PC; I can’t enable it on a console, or I just haven’t figured out how yet.

There is a huge G-SYNC logo on the stand and box, although in reality it works with NVIDIA G-SYNC in compatibility mode via software rather than a built-in processor.

The stand is simply gigantic, so I mounted it on an arm. It is assembled perfectly and does not creak at all, even though the bezels are very thin. If you turn off the backlight, you wouldn’t even say it is a gaming monitor; the minimalist design is just superb.
Vivid color reproduction, HDMI 2.1, thin bezels, matte screen, external power supply, works 100% with PS5, LG software, intuitive and easy monitor settings control, backlight adjustment wheel, DisplayPort and HDMI cables included, USB can be used to charge a phone.
HDR is weak and I turned it off completely; the stand is just huge, so I had to mount it on an arm. The price was about €1,000 in mid-September 2021.
