The debutant of the UltraGear line in 2023 is a 27-inch gaming monitor from LG, representing solutions at the intersection of the middle and advanced classes. The model has a rather aggressive design, and among the design features it is worth highlighting the red inserts on the back and on the stand. The latter provides maximum freedom of adjustment with the ability to change the height, rotate the display or switch it to portrait orientation.

The LG UltraGear 27GP850P monitor has a pseudo 10-bit Nano IPS matrix, which is notable for the presence of an additional layer of nanoparticles. This feature is designed to increase the peak brightness of the image (in this case it reaches 400 nits, plus compliance with the DisplayHDR 400 standard is declared) and improve color reproduction. Thus, the advantages of the picture include a truly wide color gamut covering 98% of the space of the professional DCI P3 model.

Gamers should be pleased with decent detail (resolution 2560x1440 pixels and pixel size of 0.23 mm), fast response (1 ms from gray to gray) and high “hertz” (maximum 180 Hz). In addition, support for AMD FreeSync Premium is announced with compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync, additional gaming options are implemented, including Black Stabilizer and crosshairs.
