Intel's first desktop graphics card

Intel's entry into the desktop graphics card market did not go smoothly. The company has been looking for partners to produce non-reference GPUs for a long time and has made efforts to improve drivers and compatibility. She also tried to avoid conflict with NVIDIA. After years of effort, the situation became more stable, and now the Intel Arc A750 with 8 GB of memory has become an interesting option among affordable video cards, the cost of which does not exceed 10,000 hryvnia.

Performance comparable to the popular GeForce RTX 3060

In terms of performance, the Arc A750 falls between the GeForce RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 6600 XT, providing comfort for playing the latest AAA games in Full HD with high graphics settings. Intel also provides its own alternative to DLSS/FSR technologies called XeSS. Like its competitors, the Arc family is fully compatible with DirectX 12 Ultimate and has hardware-accelerated ray tracing, as well as support for mesh shaders and other modern technologies. Arc has excellent memory with a large cache and high bandwidth, but there are also unobvious problems that owners of video cards from other manufacturers may encounter.

Not suitable for older PCs

The most glaring issue with the Arc series is the significant performance fluctuations in games running DirectX 11. Intel promises to fix this issue with drivers, but it is still an issue. Additionally, these cards rely heavily on modern technology and may not perform as expected on older systems. For example, if the motherboard does not support Resizable BAR/SAM technologies, which are responsible for the interaction between the processor and video memory, the Intel Arc A750 can slow down performance and turn the gameplay into a slideshow. Therefore, purchasing the Arc A770/750 for older systems is not recommended. However, they can be an interesting choice for systems with modern processors, new memory and PCI-E 4.0/5.0 support, providing an alternative to the GeForce RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 6600 XT.
