Reliable contact
PCCooler YN850 is a power supply of an even more advanced ATX 3.1 standard. Compared to its predecessor, it received an improved 16-pin video card connector with more reliable contact. This eliminates the risk of damage to both the connector itself and the video card as a whole. Without exception, all electrolytic capacitors used in the power supply are manufactured in Japan.
Triangular decor
All possible electrical protections are implemented: from short circuits, power surges, overload and overheating. The ventilation holes are made not in the form of the usual hexagonal honeycombs, but in the form of triangles, which looks fresh against the background of competitors of the same type. The Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan with an increased diameter of 13.5 cm does not rotate at all at low load on the power supply.
Twice awarded
Semi-passive ECO cooling not only extends the life of an already durable turntable (up to 100 thousand hours), but also reduces noise and dust to zero. And even at maximum rotation speed the noise is very moderate. The high efficiency is confirmed by two certificates: 80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics Gold, so that there is no doubt about it.
I spent several weeks trying to fix it on the software level, trying everything I could. I also disassembled and reassembled the computer, hoping to find a cable that was improperly connected. I even bought a new powerful UPS with a battery backup that allowed the computer to continue working for almost an hour during power outages. All to no avail.
I sent the PSU and the graphics card for diagnostics under warranty. Both were returned without identifying any problems. Only the graphics card service center provided a documented report with their name and address, and it was evident from the condition of the graphics card and packaging that something had been done with them. As for the PSU, there was no indication of who, where, or what had been done, or if it was even taken out of the box.
Having no more faith in the warranty's value, I replaced the PSU itself and bought a BQ Dark Power 14 850W. PROBLEM FIXED. It has been working for 2 months now, even under more load than before, without any issues.
Most likely, one of the 8-pin cables in the set is faulty, and there is no spare included in the package; I need all three provided for the 9070XT. Official replacement cables are not available on the market, and it's better not to risk valuable equipment with third-party cables.
