CT1000P3SSD8

CT1000P3SSD8T

A 1TB SSD representing the P-series, which combines high-performance and reliable solutions from the American brand Crucial. Despite belonging to the entry level, the manufacturer did not try to save on matches, cutting everything in a row, so under load the device behaves far from being as capricious as many budget-level bufferless M.2 SSDs. Since this is an entry-level solution, there is no DRAM buffer, an inexpensive solution from Phison or Silicon Motion with support for the PCI-E 3.0 system interface is usually used as a controller.

Despite this, the Crucial P3 CT1000P3SSD8 boasts high line speeds (up to 3500 MB / s) with solid IOPS and decent uptime. And the use of memory of its own production (note: Crucial is a subsidiary of Micron) made it possible to achieve high reliability, which is confirmed by a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer and a rather high overwrite resource of 220 TB for an entry-level.

A profitable option among SSD drives

The SSD market has reached stability: SSDs with PCI-E 4.0 interface have become more affordable, and outdated controllers have disappeared from the market. In this context, the Crucial P3 stands out for its price, being even cheaper than popular but aging SATA3 SSDs such as the Kingston A400 and Samsung 870 EVO.

Modern memory and reliable controller

The Crucial P3 uses 176-layer QLC NAND flash from Micron and an E21T controller from Phison. The lack of a DRAM cache is compensated by a pseudo-SLC cache, which ensures stable write speeds. This makes the Crucial P3 a good choice for those looking for a quality, affordable SSD.

5 years warranty and PCI-E 3.0

The Crucial P3 operates over a PCI-E 3.0 interface, which may limit its maximum speed compared to PCI-E 4.0, but this is not critical for most user tasks. Read speeds up to 3500 MB/s and write speeds up to 3000 MB/s make it fast enough for most applications and games. The five-year warranty underlines the reliability and quality of this model.
