For games without overpaying
The representative of Asus's TUF line is a 27-inch gaming monitor in the entry-level price segment. It uses an IPS panel with wide viewing angles and a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. Brightness and contrast are at a basic level — 250 cd/m² and 1000:1, respectively.
However, the Asus TUF Gaming VG279Q1R does not have minimal gaming functionality. For example, the refresh rate is increased to 165 Hz, and to eliminate screen tearing when transmitting signals from AMD video cards, FreeSync Premium technology is offered. Gaming features also include low input lag (4 ms gray to gray) and additional gaming options, including Shadow Boost to lighten dark areas, and a whole set of GamePlus with the ability to display a crosshair, timer, and FPS counter on the screen.
High-quality color reproduction and safety
Among the advantages of the monitor are good color coverage: 100% sRGB space coverage is claimed. Accordingly, the user can expect high-quality color reproduction and realistic images in games, as well as when viewing photos, videos, or other content.
