A full-sized, well-equipped and reliable gaming motherboard from Asus, built around the top 2022 Intel Z790 chipset. Equipped with an Intel LGA 1700 socket designed for Intel Core Alder Lake (12th generation) and Raptor Lake (13th generation) APUs. The manufacturer is positioning itself as a mid-range model, the capabilities of which are superior to most Prime motherboards, but they are far from being as rich as in Asus ROG series models.

It differs from gaming boards in its minimalistic design and lack of RGB backlighting. Ideal for mid to high end work or gaming system with 6/8/12 core processor, NVIDIA RTX 3070 caliber graphics card and DDR5 reactive RAM (7200MHz maximum frequency). The Asus PRIME Z790-P DDR5 motherboard fully complies with the firm's concept of increased reliability, which Prime models are famous for.

This is manifested in the use of compacted textolite, wear-resistant temperature capacitors and other high-quality element base. A high-quality 15-phase cascade system is responsible for powering all elements of the system, M.2 slots are protected by removable radiators, PCI-E slots are reinforced with reinforced fiber. Despite belonging to the Prime line, the board supports several proprietary overclocking tools, including the AI Cooling II complex, XMP 3.0, and Asus' proprietary memory auto-overclocking feature AEMP II. The board layout provides three M.2 ports (PCI-E 4.0 interface) for installing high-speed NVMe SSDs and 4 SATA3 slots for more traditional HDD and SSD drives. A 2.5GbE adapter from Realtek is responsible for processing network traffic. Despite belonging to the household series, the installation of LE tapes and water cooling for the CPU is supported.
