Synology DiskStation DS223 is a NAS server that is ideal for organizing and storing data in homes and small offices. It supports a personal cloud, allowing you to combine files from multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS, and provides access to data through any browser. Users can easily share files via secure links or keep them strictly for personal use, ensuring data privacy.
DS223 offers sync capabilities with popular cloud services Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive, allowing you to keep local copies of your data for more flexible management. The on-demand feature, available for Windows and Mac, downloads files only when you open them, preserving disk space, and pins important files for offline access. With the Btrfs file system and snapshot support, the NAS protects data from accidental or malicious modification, allowing you to quickly restore your files.
It also supports automatic upload of photos and videos from mobile devices via Synology Photos, simplifying the storage of personal media contents. The DS223 features two hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive slots with RAID 0 and RAID 1 support. Network connectivity is via a 1 Gbps LAN port, while three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports provide high-speed data transfer and external device connectivity. The Realtek RTD1619B quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of DDR4 RAM ensure smooth and stable operation of all functions, including support for web and FTP servers, multimedia (DLNA, iTunes, uPnP), video surveillance servers, and backup.
