A powerful desktop NAS server from Synology optimized for business needs, including centralized data storage, backup, virtual machine management, and video surveillance. Its compact form factor fits into office spaces without the need for a dedicated server rack or data center. DS1823xs+ features eight hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive slots, expandable up to 18 bays with two DX517 modules, allowing for on-the-fly storage expansion.
Support for multiple RAID configurations (RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, F1, JBOD, and Basic) provides flexibility in data protection settings. Two built-in M.2 slots allow you to add an NVMe SSD for caching, improving HDD performance. For connectivity and expansion, the server supports three LAN ports (two 1 Gbps and one 10 Gbps) and a PCIe (Gen3x8) slot for adding 1/10/25 GbE and Fibre Channel ports.
Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two eSATA ports provide additional peripheral connectivity options. Synology DiskStation DS1823xs+ is powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1780B processor with the highest clock speed and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 32 GB). The Synology DSM operating system offers comprehensive remote management capabilities, including system monitoring, reboot, and restore. And built-in backup tools support data protection across multiple devices, including PCs, physical servers, virtual machines, and clouds.
