Advanced business-class NAS server with a powerful AMD Ryzen processor, support for high-speed NVMe SSD drives, two PCIe expansion slots, and dual operating systems QTS/QuTS hero. The brain of the QNAP TS-473A-8G is a specialized 4-core AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz and support for multithreading. The base RAM is 8 GB, which can be expanded up to 64 GB if necessary.

The disk subsystem is represented by four slots for 3.5-inch drives (maximum capacity of 72 TB) with hot-swap capability. To optimize speed, there are two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs, which allow for caching and Qtier auto-tiering. Thanks to IO-awareness technology, the system dynamically redistributes data between connected drives, ensuring high-speed access to frequently used files. Enhanced connectivity is provided by a pair of LAN ports with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbps and 4 USB ports, one of which is equipped with a modern Type-C connector. NAS functionality includes support for web and FTP servers, multimedia, video surveillance, virtualization, and domain integration.
