— an output for transmitting MIDI signals from the digital piano to another device. Its own MIDI signal is generated in the instrument for each keystroke, it contains data about the note, as well as the characteristics of pressing (duration, speed, strength). In normal use, such a signal is passed through the instrument's electronics and played in a specific tone, but if the digital piano has a MIDI output, the signals can be transmitted "out" — for example, to a computer for recording or to a synthesizer for playback in a tone that is not in the piano itself.
