USB type C is a relatively new type of USB connector, positioned, among other things, as the heir to microUSB. USB type C differs from such a “predecessor” in a slightly larger size and a convenient two-sided design that allows to connect the plug to either side. This type of connector is increasingly used in modern electronics – both in miniature gadgets like smartphones and in larger gadgets: in particular, charging via USB type C is becoming more common in modern laptops. Moreover, in the latter case, even Apple technology is not an exception: if a Lightning connector is used for charging in pocket “apple” devices, then USB type C is used in laptops of this brand (in the form of a Thunderbolt interface, but nonetheless). In addition, it is worth noting that many of the advanced technologies associated with the USB standard – including those regarding charging – are optimized for this type of connector, if not used only with it.

At the same time, USB type C is still gaining popularity, so this type of plug in power banks is mainly used in combination with classic microUSB and/or Apple Lightning.
