French presses
French press
— a device for brewing, consisting of a cylindrical glass container, a lid and a piston with a mesh filter fixed in it. The piston covers the entire area of the container and can sink to the very bottom. Initially, French presses were created for coffee: ground coffee is poured into a vessel, filled with hot water, infused, then the piston is lowered down, pressing the grounds to the bottom and leaving the finished drink on top. There is an opinion that this method is preferable when using expensive varieties of coffee, because it allows you to fully reveal the taste and aroma. At the same time, French presses have recently become popular as a replacement for classic tea brewers — many users have appreciated the convenience of a piston with a filter that allows you to effectively separate the tea leaves. No offers found
