Teapots
Teapots
— classic teapots are small, with a spout and a tight-fitting lid, usually made of ceramic or glass. Designed primarily for teas, rooibos and other drinks with a "herbal" composition. There are many rules and tricks regarding brewing hot drinks in such a container, but the general principle is the same: the tea leaves are poured into a container and filled with water of the desired temperature, after which the kettle is closed with a lid, which allows the contents to infuse with high quality. The delivery set may include metal baskets, a strainer and other devices that simplify the loading and unloading of tea leaves. An alternative to a teapot is a French press; see the relevant paragraph for more details.
