Car stereos with MHL support
— MHL radio support — a technology that is used in portable devices for transmitting digital audio / video signals via a universal connector like microUSB or USB Type C. In terms of signal type and bandwidth, this connection is similar to HDMI (see the relevant paragraph), and in some radios MHL- Gadgets are connected to HDMI ports. However, more often another connector is used for this purpose — for example, USB.
In addition to transmitting HD video and multi-channel audio, MHL provides other features — for example, charging the battery of a connected gadget and even controlling it through the radio. The specific set of such possibilities depends on the model.
