The Petzl Summit Evo Ice Axe is an all-round, well-balanced tool for multi-discipline days spent in the mountains. The steel adze and hot-forged steel head and pick are plenty durable, with the pick featuring teeth on the upper part to allow for solid anchoring. For those ski mountaineering excursions when efficiency is everything, we use the Corsa Race Ice Axe for its featherweight design. CAMP USA designed this axe to meet all of the necessary certifications for skimo racing, but we also find it excellent for long-distance outings and traverses when it only makes sense to move light and fast.

Sometimes an all-aluminum axe just isn't burly enough to get the job done. Camp USA's Corsa Nanotech Ice Axe combines the ultra-low weight of an aluminum ice axe with the excellent hard-ice penetration of a steel axe. The 8. 8-ounce Corsa Nanotech uses aluminum construction in the shaft and head but includes a light, strong Nanoflex steel pick and spike for better hard snow and ice penetration.

The Turbolock is a progress capture pulley designed to be exceptionally compact, robust and efficient. Specifically contoured for operation with one hand. The locking mechanism for opening and closing allows the rope to be inserted without removing the device from the anchor and it cannot be opened when the pulley is loaded to prevent accidental openings during use. Toothed cam is designed for an immediate and strong grab on ropes from 8 to 13 mm.
