The fine sheath structure makes for easy handling and extreme abrasion resistance. We confidently push for the onsight even in wet conditions with the rope dry treated from the inside out.

The 9. 6 Dry Bi-Pattern Rope isn't too stiff or too soft: It's just right, giving us rugged performance and a great feel whether we're desert cragging or sending mixed routes. We easily identify mid-point on rappel with the bi-pattern weave and no longer run from encroaching rain clouds with the rope weather protected from the inside out.

Thanks to Metolius' minimalist design, the Ultralight TCU Package adds a few pieces to our rack for so little weight that we don't even notice them. A combination of CNC machining, Monster slings, and a direct-axle design that eliminates all unneeded material ensures that we're not carrying one extra gram. Petzl's Rad Line is a radically ultralight, hyperstatic cord that assists skiers doing crevasse rescue work, roping up on glaciers, and traversing glacial terrain.
