The 8. 5 Dry Climbing Rope is Black Diamond's versatile twin or half rope designed for winter mountaineering and summer alpine climbing. Mammut's Alpine Sender Dry Rope is a triple-certified climbing rope that you can use as a half rope in the alpine, a twin rope on a multi-pitch, or a single rope on challenging single-pitches. Best-used by experienced belayers, its skinny 8. 7mm diameter packs small and reduces rope drag on wandering routes. Mammut's Dry treatment excels UIAA's standards for limiting water absorption, and it significantly enhances abrasion-resistance for a greater performance on rock as well as ice. Mammut also added a center mark to assist with quicker rappels.
