The harness's Dual Core Construction keeps us light and streamlined for squeezing in tight spaces or attempting a redpoint, while the adjustable leg loops accommodate bulky alpine layers and thinner desert garb alike. Black Diamond's collection of quickdraws consists of draws with solid-gated or wire-gated carabiners, but the HotForge Hybrid Quickdraw is the only draw designed with solid and wire gates, and this Quickpack includes a set of six. The rope-clipping side is styled bright and colorful to act as a visual indicator that comes in handy when we're cruxing out and desperately searching for a solid clipping stance. The stiff, burly dogbone is easy to grab so you can take and suss out moves, and a StraitJacket stabilizes the rope-clipping carabiner for even easier clipping.

Edelrid made its Men's Shield II Climbing Helmet lightweight and robust so you don't have a reason to leave it behind when you tackle long, demanding routes. Its In-Mold construction consists of a tough polycarbonate shell and an expanded polystyrene foam that you can remove if you need more room. The Wing-Fit adjustable system includes a fully adjustable chin strap and a rear dial for a comfortable fit. Airflow ventilation utilizes ten large openings to provide all the fresh air your melon needs, and four headlamp clips make sure you don't have to adjust your headlamp's band every fifteen feet on your rappel.

The LiteWire Quickdraw Quickpack consists of a six pack of Black Diamond's lightest draws designed for every style of climbing, from ice to rock, single pitch or multi. The LiteWire carabiners come in a lighter weight this season, and somehow has a larger rope-bearing surface for seasons of long-lasting durability. Black Diamond tweaked the noses's geometry to facilitate easier clipping and unclipping. The dogbone packs small and still packs a punch when it comes to strength.
