Our engineers recently spent some time working on one of the age-old questions with the Tricam … how to stiffen the sling without impeding its ability to engage the camming action. After much experimenting, we rested on the simple solution of carrying the inner band of webbing further towards the head and using a stitch pattern. This equipment has been made as anchoring device, which consists of load bearing and winded steel wire ropes as a core, and outside tube, which protects the core and keeps wire ropes together. The construction of this device gives an extra safety against mechanical damage, rather than regular textile sling.
