A couple of years ago, the Taiwanese brand A-Data got tired of dealing exclusively with RAM and storage, so in 2020 it was decided to begin expansion into other component markets - in particular case and processor cooling systems, as well as computer power supplies. All products were united within the XPG gaming line, the main feature of which was the combination of advanced technical solutions with a reasonable pricing policy.

Since for A-Data XPG blocks have become an entry ticket to the computer power supply market, the manufacturer strives to expand the existing range as much as possible in order to please both ours and yours. Therefore, in the XPG series you can find both inexpensive “bronze” models a la XPG PYLON, which are chosen by most users, and advanced “platinum” options with a power reserve of up to 1300 W. The latter are part of the advanced XPG CYBERCORE subseries and are more focused on mining farms, workstations and overclocking stands. Well, somewhere between them are the optimal by today’s standards models of the XPG REACTOR subseries with a “gold” quality certificate and a maximum power of 850 W.

At the time of writing this material (note: December 2023), A-Data introduced 3 XPG power supplies with active PFC, a high-performance +12V power line, optional modular cables and a range of choices from 650 to 1300 W. The manufacturer notes that regardless of the power, quality certificate and model status, all XPG power supplies are built on the basis of well-proven platforms from CWT/FSP, which use high-quality circuitry and heat-resistant capacitors, and all electronics and systems undergo numerous stress tests using extreme temperatures and strong vibration.
