Drills with water cooling

Water cooling (coolant)

— built-in water cooling system, including a water pump and a hose connected to a liquid source.

The idea of such systems is to supply water to the drilling site. This ensures heat dissipation and prevents overheating of the working nozzle, however, coolant functions are not limited to this. Firstly, the fluid reduces the resistance at the drilling site, further increasing the life of the tool and nozzle. Secondly, water absorbs the resulting dust and protects the surrounding people from it; Yes, and cleaning after work due to this is somewhat simplified. On the other hand, the real need for water cooling is mainly in diamond drilling, and additional systems complicate the design of the tool and increase its cost. Therefore, this feature nowadays is found exclusively in heavy drills designed for the mentioned diamond drilling (see "Additional"); and even for such a tool, coolant is a desirable, but far from obligatory function.
