PTZ control

— the abbreviation PTZ refers to cameras with a movable lens that can be controlled remotely — point horizontally and vertically; they also usually allow you to change the degree of magnification (optically or digitally). In advanced models, automatic movement of the optics can also be provided — for example, according to a given programme or with tracking of a moving object. PTZ cameras are not cheap, but they are indispensable in situations where a fixed lens is not able to cover the entire surveillance scene.
