Logitech Yeti
In 2023, the Swiss company Logitech introduced an updated line of desktop USB microphones, Yeti, finally dropping the branding of Blue Microphones, which it acquired in 2018. The family includes several models at different levels, including the most basic condenser microphone Yeti Orb, the dynamic Yeti GX, and the semi-professional Yeti Studio with an XLR connection. Almost all models feature simple, unobtrusive lighting with LightSync support and easily integrate into a setup using the Logitech G HUB app.

Instead of churning out a bunch of look-alike models like some competitors, each Yeti model has clear positioning. For example, the budget one doesn’t claim top-tier recording quality and is more of a compact replacement for the Blue Snowball. The more expensive Yeti GX with a supercardioid pickup pattern supports a higher sampling rate (up to 96 kHz at 24-bit) and targets more demanding streamers and gamers. And the most expensive Yeti Studio, with a ClearAmp preamp, dual diaphragm, and XLR connection, aims more at the semi-pro recording category.
Otherwise, these are classic desktop microphones with metal bodies, built-in stands, and simple plug-and-play connectivity. Most Logitech Yeti models are equipped with physical controls like a mute button and gain control right on the body. All microphones are compatible with popular streaming (OBS, Streamlabs) and recording apps, require no additional drivers, and work with both Windows and macOS, as well as some game consoles via USB. The main target audience for the lineup is gamers, streamers, podcasters, and beginner content creators who value easy setup and consistent sound quality.
