Super wide angle

— this type includes lenses with a maximum equivalent focal length (see "Maximum focal length") less than or equal to 17 mm, due to which they provide an angle of view up to 180 ° and even more. They are also called "fisheye" (fisheye). When shooting with such lenses, the image has characteristic distortions — the centre of the scene seems to be “bulging out” towards the viewer, while the edges (and especially the corners) are visually “stretched” into the distance.
