Night vision sights
Night vision
— sights designed for use in low light conditions — at dusk and at night. There are two types of such sights — on optical-electronic converters (EOP) and digital; for more details, see "Principle of night vision devices", here we note that the image intensifier tube is cheaper, but they are inferior to the digital format in image quality and do not tolerate daylight. The common disadvantages of all sights of this type is the high price compared to conventional optics, as well as the inability to work without batteries. However, an alternative to a "night light" is perhaps an optical sight in combination with a separate night vision device — and such a bundle has serious drawbacks that make it difficult to widely use it; see "Functions — NVD Compatibility" for details.clear | Save List |
