Holographic mark

— a feature found in red dot sights. In such models, the aiming mark is projected not by the classic system of lenses and mirrors, but by a laser LED and a special holographic grating. This significantly increases the cost, but gives a number of advantages over classical collimators. So, holographic sights are usually completely devoid of parallax (see "Paralax adjustment"), and the aiming mark visible to the shooter turns out to be transparent — as a result, it does not cover the target, does not blind the eyes in low light and at the same time remains clearly visible in almost any conditions. . In addition, the lenses of such sights are more transparent than in classic collimators, they give less glare (which also contributes to good visibility) and remain operational even with fairly serious damage. The disadvantages of "holography", in addition to price, include increased power consumption (which requires the use of more powerful and capacious batteries), as well as larger dimensions and more weight than classic models.
