Optical sights
— one of the most famous and popular types of sights is in the form of an optical tube (monocular) with markings applied to it, visible to the shooter. These marks often include auxiliary markings for making corrections, ranging, and the like. Optical sights, usually, have a magnification, while the magnification is often made adjustable, and the magnification range values \u200b\u200bmay be different. It is also worth noting that the optics do not require a power supply for their primary use (although it may be provided for some additional functions). On the other hand, such devices are quite large, they are poorly suited for firing at randomly moving targets, and many parts of the optics are sensitive to shock and shock, which requires the use of shockproof structures and affects the price. Another drawback is the parallax effect (for more details, see "Features — parallax detuning").
