As part of the StoreJet 25M series, Transcend's external hard drives are shock resistant. In their production, the company uses a well-proven shockproof three-layer casing, which consists of an external silicone case, a housing made of impact-resistant plastic and an additional layer of rubber. All StoreJet 25M drives are MIL-STD-810G certified. That is, they are not afraid of accidental drops and strong vibration, so the data stored on the drive is completely safe.

A feature of these drives is a multifunctional button located at the end, which works in tandem with Transcend Elite proprietary software. With its help, the user can activate automatic data backup set using templates. For example, set a backup of data from a specific disk to a PC or a separate folder, as well as set up time intervals for backup. Also, using the button, the user can put the drive into power saving mode, and then turn it back on, without having to physically disconnect it from the USB port.

In addition to the original StoreJet 25M model, which is still in demand, several modifications with 3C, MC and M3 prefixes can be found on sale. All of them are built according to the same drawings and practically do not differ externally. Usually the difference lies in the connection port (in the old ones there was a regular USB A, and in the new USB-C 3.2 gen1) and secondary functions like the built-in encryption algorithm. Plus, younger members of this family show higher read and write speeds.
