Computer speakers with RCA line input
Line input (RCA)
— analogue audio input using RCA connectors ("tulips"). In addition to the connector type, the key difference between this interface and the 3.5 mm mini-Jack is that one jack in this case is responsible for only one sound channel; therefore, usually in one RCA input there are two connectors (for a stereo signal). Such a connection is rare among computer sound cards (with the exception of specialized models), but it is quite common in stationary audio equipment and can be useful, for example, to connect speakers to a CD player or external audio receiver. And in some models with this feature, the amplifier is made separately, and the speakers are also connected to it via RCA; this makes it possible to use them with an external power amplifier if desired.line input (RCA) | clear | Save List |
